Redefining the Manicure Experience

The Nail Spa, designed by Noratikah Binte Margono, aims to revolutionize the traditional manicure and pedicure experience by creating a space that immerses customers in comfort and leaves a lasting impression. Through the clever use of lines, planes, volumes, and colors, the design brings a symbolic sense of community to the space.

What sets this design apart are the four key elements: line, plane, volume, and color. Each element has been carefully considered to capture the attention of customers. Every line serves a functional purpose, every plane conveys a message, every volume determines the display, and every color exudes friendliness.

The realization of this design involved the meticulous execution of specific materials to create a casual and formal experience. The introduction of black and timber adds an ideal attraction and compensates for the overall tranquility of the space.

Spanning across 1400 sqft, the Nail Spa offers an inviting interplay between casual and formal contexts. Intricate details, such as a nail cover sculpture integrated into the wall, create a framework that draws customers in. The internal corridor seamlessly blends with a touch of greenery, providing an organic and soothing atmosphere. The finished product is aesthetically pleasing and offers customers a brand new experience.

The Nail Spa project, which began in January 2017 and was completed in February 2017, is located in Singapore. Throughout the design process, the team faced the challenge of incorporating organic components while making a bold statement that defied conventional norms. The result is a boutique of colors that adds richness and cutting-edge style to the lavish wood textures.

This exceptional design has been recognized with the prestigious Iron A' Design Award in 2018. This award is given to well-designed, practical, and innovative creations that meet professional and industrial requirements. The Nail Spa design stands out for its integration of industry best practices and competent technical characteristics, providing fulfillment and positive feelings to customers and contributing to a better world.
